OpenID
The website, openid.net, explains that it is an open, decentralized, free framework for user-centric digital identity. The basic idea is really to allow me logging on to various websites that make use of OpenID with just one single identity. Good stuff!!!
WordPress is one of the OpenID provider which acts as third-party identity server. That means when I am signed up to use wordpress service, then I will automatically have an OpenID.
All righty, that’s the basic stuff I know so far about it. I have found several posts of OpenID pro and con. But then again, it is more towards people’s opinion rather than a fact. So I will have to dig up some more info. I’ll post something useful when I find one.
